Le metodologie NDT per i diversi materiali vanno dalla semplice ispezione visiva a tecniche anche molto sofisticate, attraverso un insieme di test che permettono di effettuare ispezioni non invasive, con lo scopo di ricercare eventuali difetti critici del componente analizzato.
