Il\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 controllo viene effettuato principalmente sui materiali metallici, ma pu\u00f2 essere eseguito anche su altri materiali, purch\u00e9 siano inerti ai prodotti impiegati per l\u2019indagine e non siano eccessivamente porosi. La penetrazione del liquido all\u2019interno di una discontinuit\u00e0 avviene per capillarit\u00e0 e non per gravit\u00e0; tale prerogativa, che risulta la base di tutta la metodologia di controllo, rende facilmente ispezionabili superfici di difficile accesso indipendentemente dalla loro posizione. Rappresenta la prova non distruttiva di pi\u00f9 facile applicazione e con interpretazione dei risultati immediata. Il liquido penetrante trova largo impiego nel controllo di strutture saldate, getti fusi anche in lega leggera, forgiati e nei controlli non distruttivi periodici di apparecchiature in esercizio.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The penetrant test method is aimed at ascertaining discontinuities such as cracks, overlaps, folds, and missing mergers that emerge on the surface of the object under examination. The control is mainly carried out on metallic materials, but can also be performed on other materials, provided they are inert to the products used for the investigation and are not excessively porous. The penetration of the liquid within a discontinuity occurs by capillarity and not by gravity; this prerogative, which is the basis of the whole control method, makes it difficult to inspect difficult-to-access surfaces regardless of their position. It represents the non-destructive test that is easier to apply and with immediate interpretation of results.
